As expected Sony finally shed light on its mysterious netbook-like machine at the CES – the P-series Lifestyle PC under its VAIO branding. Interestingly, despite its striking resemblance to today’s netbooks, Sony still doesn’t want to call it as a netbook but rather a sophisticated ultraportable laptop.
But still, there’s no escaping the fact that specs wise, the Sony P-series Lifestyle PC is by all means a netbook – except perhaps when it comes to its processor, which is not clear up to now.
Anyway, let’s take a look at the Sony P-Series Lifetyle PC’s specs:
- 8-inch screen with 1600×768
- tiny full-featured keyboard
- thinkpad pointing stick (no multi-touch pad)
- 3G antenna
- WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth
- 2GB RAM
- Windows Vista OS
- HDD/SDD
The P-Series Lifestyle PC will be available in garnet red, crystal white, emerald green, and classic matte color design and weighs only 1.4 lbs.
Price? a whooping $900. For an 8-inch machine, we are convince that it is not a netbook after all.
