While it isn’t available to purchase yet from Best Buy, over at Engadget they’ve got photos of the netbook being unboxed and shown with Windows 7. The netbook comes with the starter edition of Windows 7, which as Engadget note, only includes one wallpaper, the one shown but, I’m sure many will use their own photos anyway, or find other Windows 7 wallpapers from other sources. This is the first demo unit to arrive at Best Buy. You can view the photos of the unboxing after the jump.
The T91 netbook from Asus, featuring a touchscreen display, is available in a few countries now and JKK Mobile have got their hands on one of the machines. Instead of the usual unboxing photos, JKK have opted for a video presentation of the unboxing ceremony. As well as unboxing their new netbook, the video shows the netbook booting up, along with a look at the touch screen interface and responsiveness.
The netbook features an 8.9 inch touch screen display, Intel Atom Z520 CPU and runs Windows XP Home for it’s operating system. It also features a semi 3D graphics card, created by Asus themselves.
Back in March, it became public knowledge that a US 3G compatible version of the UMID M1wasn’t ready for production yet. Fast forward to today, and full working models of the said mobile Internet device are already on their way to stores. Australia-based Justek will be among those who will sell the UMID mbook M1 first in stores, and a non-HSDPA version of the said machine was recently given to Pocketables for review by them. While we’re waiting for their full review, it would be a good idea to check out the outer appearance in full, as it is exposed nicely in a lot of unboxing photos. The packaging looks pretty neat and it contains just about every accessory/plug a UMID mbook M1 user would need. A crystal case is not included, though. To see the whole set of photos, navigate to the Pocketables unboxing post with the link below.
I’ve long waited for a chance to handle the 10-inch Acer Aspire D150. Today, I just had my chance, and for the course of the next few weeks I’m going to be all about it, this post being the first in a series that showcases the device in terms of both hardware and software. I’ve been a satisfied owner of the original Acer Aspire One, the 9-inch model, so I have somewhat high hopes for this one. Hit the jump to see our little gallery of unboxing photos and read my first impressions on the hardware. Read the rest of this entry »
The lucky guys over at PortableMonkey have gotten hold of the latest netbook offering from MSI, the Wind U123 in white. They’ve taken photos of the various stages on unboxing which you can view after the jump.
First impressions of the U123, is that it looks very similar to the U120, but inside is a different story. The U123 comes with the newer processor from Intel, the N280, while the U120 has the regular N270 CPU. The RAM can also be upgraded on this new model, but like the U120, there aren’t any access panels to actually do this. The bottom casing can be unscrewed easily though to upgrade your RAM, but Liliputing note that this will actually void the warranty.
Fans of the original Acer Aspire One may not like the fact that there are now many different models of their favorite netbook available, but there’s nothing consumers like ourselves can really do about that right now except face the fact and learn to live with it. After all, it’s not entirely a bad thing, and choice is beneficial for most. The Acer Aspire D250 is one of the many different Aspire One models now available, and the gang over at Geeky Lives just managed to secure a unit and have put together a swift unboxing video. We can’t promise you’ll see anything that will change your life by watching the video, but if you’re looking to make an informed purchase, it always helps to know more about the gadgets you’re considering. For those interested, the unboxing video is available after the break.
One of the most highly-awaited netbooks from MSI’s stable of 10-inch Winds is the MSI Wind U115 Hybrid. The word Hybrid in its name comes from the fact that it will have both an SSD and a hard drive for storage (though the SSD will be used primarily for the netbook’s OS). And besides which, the MSI Wind U115 also boasts remarkable battery life. A recent test even showed us that it can run up to 14 hours — on a single charge. That’s something you don’t see on netbooks everyday. UMPCFever just got their hands on one, and as expected they’ve done a first round of unboxing shots before the real review begins. See the full set of photos via the link to their site below.
Some people enjoy seeing the next gadget on their “to-buy” list unboxed by someone else, preferably a stranger, online via Youtube. Well, if the next gadget on your very own “to-buy” list is the Viliv S5 MID, then you’re in luck. UMPC Fever just did us the honors and now we have a Viliv S5 MID unboxing video on Youtube. The best part is, you won’t actually have to go to Youtube to watch it, because we’ve embedded it above. Simply press play to see this haptic touchscreen-equipped little ‘puter unboxed… in another language.
We didn’t catch it, but luckily, Blogeee’s Acer Aspire D150 unboxing was saved on ustream’s servers, and it is now available for on-demande viewing. This unboxing should be enough to show you the build quality of Acer’s upcoming 10-inch netbook, and either sway you to jump for it when it becomes available to you or opt for another model from a different company. Check out Blogeee’s post for the Acer Aspire D150 unboxing video.
If you’ve got a few minutes to spare today you can see this video of a Samsung NC20 unboxing. This shows the Samsung NC20, its box contents, and a quick boot to Windows XP Home. As you probably know this is a much awaited follow-up to the Samsung NC10, which many have hailed as the best netbook ever. While you’re still waiting to personally get your hands on one (like I know you are), then this should be enough to whet your appetite in the meantime.
