Intel has unveiled a renovated Classmate PC line that runs on Atom Cedar Trail CPU and is allegedly to give long-lasting battery life (about 10 hours from a single charge), a six-cell lithium-ion energy source ” where students can be able to carry out their entire activities on single charge” and thanks to its latest 45nm Intel Atom CPU (of course that means pure Pine Trail, right?). Additionally, there’s more austerity in the form factor, giving it added protection on the edges, increased water opposition of at least 100cc of liquid, plus an antimicrobial veneer for a cleaner environment.

Intel has also upgraded its Learning Series Software Suite, including additional shared classroom and IT-allied features. Intel also acknowledges that for every classroom there is a special need, hence they included various configurable options on the Classmate PCs. The netbooks can be packaged with Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit and Intel’s Learning Series software suite on board.

It’s now official with the company’s new Eee PC Flare 1025C, X101CH and 1025CE netbooks, and without ado let’s get down to basics. The 1025C sports built-in Intel UMA graphics (720p output), a 10.1-inch LED display (1,024 x 600), N2600 dual-core GPU at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR3-1333 memory, integrated Altec Lansing stereo speakers, a hard drive of 5,400RPM, 0.3 megapixel webcam, a set of USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 2-in-1 media card reader and HDMI /VGA outputs. The entire machine tips the scales at 1.2kg, while housing a six-cell (56WHr) battery which is allegedly to take you some 10 hrs of usage. It ships with Windows 7 Starter, and a $299 will get you one in black, blue, pink or red in February.

Another great piece is the 1225B, a 12.1-incher that gets powered by AMD E-450 dual-core chip at 1.6GHz, graphics included, native resolution at (1,366 x 768), 2GB of DDR3-1333 memory, a 5,400RPM HDD, a set USB 3.0 sockets (and a separate USB 2.0 socket), a 0.3 megapixel webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 plus a 2-in-1 media reader. It should press your lap at 3.1 pounds including a six-cell battery, and a (32-bit) Windows 7 Home Premium OS onboard. For color fanatics – well, you’ll be smacked in black, red or white. Ultimately, the Eee PC X101CH’s entry-level should steal $269 affording you a 10.1-inch panel (1,024 x 600) resolution, integrated graphics, 1GB of RAM plus the standard complement of ports.

Shelling off Intel Atom, and while the pink adorned cover perhaps could appeal to a certain sex category, its island style covered keyboard is what you should expect the mighty to lay their hands on.

Well, considering color design we can’t say it really matches our tastes, but at least you’d be comfortable with the internals; and apparently identical to the recently reviewed Mini 210 HD (sans the Broadcom Crystal HD). But the Mini should sound great as it appears – HP’s improved Vivienne’s netbook running Beats by Dr. Dre audio software onboard, which currently is yet to be adopted by other companies.

The Atom processor accompanies a 1GB DDR3 RAM and support of 250GB SATA HDD storage, which lets you store lots of documents, photos, music and some videos as well. More, its battery life could take you 9.5 hours although excluding wireless time. While with reasonable wireless usage, expect around 7-8 hours running time. Whether that’s worth offering we live it up to you, but if you need a netbook that can unquestionably stream HD Flash content out, then you’re best looking at it right now.

Unlike the Fusion HP 311m business set we’ve just reviewed, which sports a higher-end AMD E-450 APU, the Aspire One AO722-0473 is not only powered by Dual Core C-60 processor, but runs a TurboCore auto overclocking quality that ticks the clock speed to 1.33GHz – including a 1MB L2 cache memory.

The 11.6 inch netbook still melds AMD Radeon HD 6290 graphics that accompanies 256MB of dedicated memory. Hence, there shouldn’t be a problem playing full HD video including some light gaming. And considering (asking price $283.71) indeed we should look forward to real opposition from major Atom netbooks in both pricing and graphics prowess. More inboard is one HDMI out port that supports HDCP; now link this with a wireless HDMI configuration, you’d have easily turned your machine into a fully functional entertainment hub.

You’ll also find a multi-in-1 card reader and 3 USB 2.0 ports. It also has a Wireless-N with backward harmonized (WIFI-802.11b/g/n). Given all its positive attributes, we propose at least heading to Amazon and having one in person. However if you find it maddening by accidental right clicks, then it isn’t likely to be easy on use – not without a push from Acer, at least.

Being the beast that it has always been, the retail kingpin hands PC manufactures a wishlist of specs on board; design as usual flourishes, and at assertive price points – including the guarantee of selling a finished machine exclusively.

Toshiba Satellite P745-S4320), a typical laptop, suggests itself with profusion of must-have features: A fast Core i5 CPU, Blu-ray player, USB 3.0 interface, and WiDi 2.0 wireless and WiMAX features. But if you’ve never used wireless options and Blu-ray player and they don’t seem important to you, you’re better off flouncing at cheaper laptops.

Plastic inclusions have basically been withdrawn by mainstream laptop makers to pave way for sleeker aluminum chassis—however, Toshiba hasn’t wedged on to the drift. The P745-S4320 cloths a textured lid including wrist rest –adding that to “Fusion X2 Platinum” finish, yea right! But not really my style, but could work – ask the IT gurus.

The entire chassis would put around 4.85 pounds in your lap, rendering it as a middle-weight considering 14-inch category; and you’ll realize this from the contrasting weights among the Dell Inspiron 14z (Core i5) ($750 direct, 4 stars) (4.5 pounds), Sony VAIO VPC-EG27FM/W ($779.99, 3.5 stars) (5.1 pounds) and Asus U46E-BAL6 ($899.99, 4 stars) (4.9 pounds).

Well, if you haven’t here it is. HP has just unveiled its 11.6-inch 3115m and it considers it a business set for all intents and functions; a rebadged Pavilion dm1z should only fit to a more buttoned-up sort of a customer. To begin with, you’d confuse it with the latest redesigned dm1, everything including flush trackpad. Powered by dual-core AMD E-450 APU, 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display that is in full 720p HD, it also accompanies a chiclet keyboard, Beats Audio and a 6-cell battery rated for 11.5 hours on a full-charge come standard.

What’s more is that you get a modest 2GB of RAM, 320GB and 5,400RPM HDD. Strangely, 5,400RPM drives are as excellent as it gets here. IT guys would highly consider this machine – however, it accompanies HP’s Keyed Cable lock including Computrace Pro module used for tracking and distantly destroying lost or stolen laptops (you’ll have to activate this feature manually). I it should hit the shelves in Americas on November 11th (asking price $430 – a thirty-dollar premium compared to the dm1z).

According to a report, Acer Chairman JT Wang alleged that Microsoft software could soon effectively take on Apple. Perhaps the only challenge that persists at the moment for Microsoft’s Windows is the growth of Apple’s iOS on tablets (iPad), and smartphones (iPhone) – according to an editorial in Taipei-based Digitimes, which published Wang’s comments on Monday.

Citing Wang’s comments, Microsoft’s Windows “hasn’t had any achievements within these two markets that can help it gain share,” citing a decline in Netbook sales hence resulting in only “slim” growth in the conventional laptop market. Although the publisher didn’t detail on Wang’s point, we assume Wang was speaking about market intrusion by the iPad, for instance, on the Netbook as well as low-end laptop market.

Although, recent reports from Gartner indicate only meek growth in PC sales in 2011; the Acer Group was placed in the 4th position in world rankings in terms of PC sales in the third quarter, according to IDC.

According to Wang, Apple’s “notebook products are only minor drivers” for growth and pale citing to the exciting escalation seen in its iPads and iPhones. However, Windows 8 could change this. In a few coming years, Wang sees a rebirth of the Microsoft camp behind Windows 8 as Microsoft reacts more efficiently to “consumer demands,” according to the report. Expect to see Windows 8 by 2013.

The Windows 8 is anticipated to run on wider range of devices, including, smartphones, tablets, Ultrabook clamshell laptops (latter rivaling Apple’s MacBook Air) and tablet-laptop hybrids.

Satiate your cravings with the new Aspire One Happy 2′ Netbooks with optional; Banana Cream, Blueberry Shake, Strawberry or Yogurt Papaya Milk.

The Netbook fad may have dwindled, but Acer has stood steadfast to emerge as one of the top-selling Netbook Company of all time; and with a colorful new model to brag. The clumsily identified Aspire One Happy 2 has a single outstanding feature – a set of eye-popping colors that Acer explains, “give a new sense of cool and style to the ultra-light, mobile computer experience.”

Live alone AMD CPUs and 11-inch screens; experience classic 10.1-inch, Intel Atom Netbooks. Considering CPU in this case, you talk of dual-core Atom N570, in addition to 1GB of RAM and 250GB hard drive ought to sound familiar to any person who has acquired an entry level Netbook in the recent years.

In case you thought this specific set of specs is fairly too much of a throwback, amazingly, the Aspire One Happy 2 systems fetches for only $269, and should be accessible from retailers immediately.

Those Honeycomb tablets from Asus, Acer, Motorola and Samsung are looking mighty fine, but if you prefer to have an operating system that’s closer to the desktop than anything else, you might want to take a look at the Gigabyte S1080 tablet PC. Unlike some other tablets that have been announced and released in the market recently, the Gigabyte S1080 doesn’t run iOS or Android. Instead, it uses Windows 7. As you can imagine, using the Gigabyte S1080 would be like using a laptop without the keyboard. That is the very definition of a touchscreen equipped tablet computer, after all.

Although Gigabyte is better known in the desktop computing space as a producer of excellent and highly durable motherboards, they have set their foot on the tablet market to try and give users what they need: a real mobile computer with desktop grade programs instead of applications that usually can’t be used for real work. The innards of the Gigabyte S1080 contain an Intel Atom N570 dual core CPU and a 320GB hard drive. Its screen measures 10.1-inches diagonally and it weighs a hefty 895 grams. If the weight seems too much, this is because the Gigabyte S1080 uses a larger battery in order to power its Intel processor.

It is said that the Gigabyte S1080 will come out in the US and Taiwan soon, and the retail price is expected to hover around 700 Euros or about $1,000 USD. It’s a bit more expensive than other tablets you can buy, but then again, it’s just not the same as any of those other devices either.

What do we have here? It looks like a new Acer Aspire One Netbook with the E100 model name. But looking closely, you’ll actually find out that the Acer Aspire One E100 netbook which is being geared for the education sector is actually more or less the previous Aspire One D255.

New things about this netbook include the fact that it dual boots on Android and Windows 7. Plus, the netbook also features a special rubber coating which can best be used for school branding. The netbook also comes preloaded with several education software.

Specs-wise, it’s all pretty standard for the Aspire one E100 with specs such as 1GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, 10.1-inch display, Intel Atom processor and 8 hours battery life.
