Far Eastone of Taiwan is offering the Eee PC 701SD (yes, you read it correctly, it’s the upcoming Eee PC 701 SD version) together with their 3G mobile broadband service via high-speed HSPA (or high speed downlink/uplink packet access).
The deal entails subscribers to sign a two-year service contract a pay an outright cash of around $29 for the Eee PC 701SD. Yes folks, for $29 you’ll get a trusty Eee PC 701SD netbook. But of course, those 3G service plans comes with a monthly service fee, just like other 3G broadband services.
But still, if you’re in Taiwan and in need of a broadband service plus a netbook, this Far Eastone deal is certainly a good deal. This is similar to the Orange UK offer for the Eee PC 900 for £25 with a 2-year service contract as well.
The Eee PC 701SD is a solid netbook that would surely be appreciated by our friends in Taiwan. It features a Windows XP OS, 4-cell battery, 512 MB RAM, 8GB SSD, .3MP webcam, and Intel Celeron M353 and a 7-inch display.
