The VXL Itona TL100 Is All Work

If the image above looks familiar – it should. This is because the VXL Itona TL100 is essentially Lenovo’s Thinkpad X100e without a hard drive. This thin and portable netbook shares all of the Thinkpad’s features (the AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor and up to 4 gigs of RAM are great touches) and it still even has the Thinkpad brand on it. Lenovo obviously approved of this since we haven’t heard about any lawsuits yet.
Anyway, now you’re asking what is it good for if it doesn’t have a hard drive? Well, hard drives are filled with files and you may not want to carry around confidential files all over the place. With the TL100′s excellent network options (either WiFi or Ethernet) it can connect from anywhere and provide you with a stable and safe work environment. It also encourages you to work – seeing as there are no other distractions on the computer.
No word on prices yet or a release date, but expect it to be cheaper than your Thinkpad.
