ThinkPad T430u Available with Standard Ivy Bridge?
The source of this information is not really reliable so take be cautious. According to a Vietnamese website, Vatgia.com, a Lenovo Thinkpad T430u Ultrabook with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor, but what’s interesting is it claimed to have the Intel Core i5-3320M 2.6GHz processor. This is supposed to be Intel’s next-gen standard chip for NON-ULTRABOOK laptops.

Ultrabooks are expected to have ultra-low voltage CPUs, just like the current generation of the thin form-factor. Alongside the i5-3320M and other standard-voltage parts, the Ivy Bridge roadmap includes both Core i7-3667U and i5-3427U ULVs. These chips are expected to replace the ULV Sandy Bridge counterparts this year.
If the specs are indeed accurate, the Thinkpad T430u appears to be a standard laptop with a 0.8 thinness. Besides the i5-3320M, the listed model includes a switchable Nvidia Optimus GPU solution (as confirmed by Lenovo) with a GB of dedicated and on-CPU integrated graphics. Other specs include 16GB of RAM, a TB of HD, six-cell battery, two USB 3.0 ports, HDIMI, Wi-FI and Gigabit LAN. The screen resolution remains at the the paltry 1366×768.
The T430u isn’t the only 14-inch notebook with dedicated graphics that houses itself under the Ultrabook category. The Samsung Series 5 is also the same.
The T430u will hit the market in Q3 2012 with a base price of $849, additional configurations will shoot the price up.
