Toshiba Dynadock helps turn your netbook into a desktop
When the Eee was first released, I tried to turn it into a desktop for easier usage when at home. Toshiba wants to help you out with their new Toshiba Dynadock. It’s a USB port replicator which expands the number of ports of your netbook using just one USB 2.0 port. You can plug in all your peripherals to it and just plug in the one cable to get things going.
- 1 LAN port
- 4 x USB 2.0 ports (with one port for sleep-and-charge)
- DVI port, VGA supported via adapter
- mic and headphone jacks
- Works with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7
Think of it as a supercharged USB hub where you can plug in your external drive, monitor, keyboard and mouse. This would also be a great expansion tool for other laptops with limited ports (I’m looking at you slate tablets) if you can afford it. Wait for it this April for £94 (US$146).
