Look what’s heading to the U.S. netbook market pretty soon? It’s Toshiba’s latest netbook baby – the NB205.  For those looking for an alternative to Asus and Acer netbook’s Toshiba is giving you two options for the form-factor of the Toshiba NB205.   Either you choose an NB205 with flat-keyboard in black form factor or one with raised keys and bright color designs.

But what makes this Toshiba netbook stand out from the rest of the netbook pack is not only its two form-factors but its sleep-and-charge USB port. This would practically allow you to charge your USB devices attached to the netbook even if its turned off.  And to make this even more useful, Toshiba is packing the NB 205 with a 6-cell battery pack.

Other specs and features of the Toshiba NB205 are pretty standard though. These include Intel N280 CPU, 1GB RAM which can be expanded up to 2GB, 160GB HDD, Windows XP, 10.1-inch TruBrite LED-backlit display, WiFi, and memory card slot. To protect its hard drive, the NB205 comes equipped with a built-in impact sensor.

The Toshiba NB205 will retail for $350 for the black model with full flat keyboard and $400 for the model in metallic finish with four different color variants – Brown, White, Pink and Blue.
