Toshiba Offers New Tecra Windows Laptops

Toshiba is bringing out new Tecra laptops in the form of the Tecra R940 and Tecra R950. Designed for business users, the notebooks come with several attractive features for this sector. For one, they have a casing made of durable fiberglass and Honeycomb Rib design. The keyboard is resistant to spills while the shock-absorbing hard disk drive casing lets users take the notebooks on the road without fear that they will be damaged.

For specifications, the devices can be packed with third-generation Intel Core CPUs, dedicated graphics by AMD and memory up to 16 GB. For storage, users have the option of as much as 512 GB storage in a solid state disk.

Despite these specifications, the devices remain lightweight at only 5.3 lbs. Its thickness, meanwhile, reaches only an inch. For the display, both the Tecra R940 and Tecra R950 may come with a 14-inch or 15.6 inch display. These screens will be backlit by LED lights and have high definition capabilities.

Users may now order the device straight from Toshiba via their official Toshiba Direct website. As promotion, Toshiba is throwing in free upgrades to Windows 7 Professional OS along with 4 GB more of memory if users buy the device before August 30, 2012. The price tag of these notebooks start at $599.99.
