Toshiba Satellite U840 Ultrabook Now Reaches Australia
A new Toshiba Ultrabook called the Satellite U840 with a 14-inch display is now available.
The second Ultrabook produced by the Japanese company, the Satellite features an Intel ULV Core i5-2467M CPU with 1.60GHz to 2.30GHz, 1333MHz FSB, and 3MB L2 Cache. Its chipset is Intel HM65 Express. The laptop comes with a Hybrid 320GB (5400rpm) + 16GB Solid State Drive partnered with 8 GB of DDR3 (4GB + 4GB) RAM at 1333Mhz.
The operating system is Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) with Service Pack 1. This device also comes equipped with software such as Microsoft Office Starter, Eco Utility, Toshiba Face Recognition, and Norton Internet Security Trial Version, among others.
Its 16:9 screen is a 14-inch Widescreen HD LED-backlit display. It has a display resolution of 1366x768p and carries support for 720p video viewing.
Standard ports like USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 are available on this laptop, as well as Bridge Media Slot and HDMI. There are also ports for Microphone-in and Stereo Headphone.
Connectivity is possible through LAN, Wi-Fi, Integrated Bluetooth, and DLNA. Other features include a webcam, microphone, stereo speakers, and a spill-resistant keyboard with backlighting.
In Australia, the laptop sells for $1499, but it is expected to be less expensive in the US.
