
While Toshiba is launching the new UX series netbook in Japan, in Europe it just launched another of its netbook product, this time dubbed the Toshiba NB200. And while we are all agog by the promise of long battery life from most of the netbooks that coming out lately, Toshiba wants to beat them all with a whooping 9 hours of full usage for its NB200.
But aside from its battery life, all the other specs of the Toshiba NB200 point to the fact that it is still is your regular 10-inch netbook fare.
Let’s see, 10-inch widescreen LED-backlight display, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 or 1.66GHz N280 CPUs, 160GB HDD, 0.3MP webcam, Bluetooth, WiFi, and Windows XP.
You’ll also get a full size tiled keyboard, integrated mobile broadband, extra large touchpad, and wireless LAN.
Over and above this specs is a 3D-accelerometer monitoring system that protects the netbook’s HDD from loss of data while monitoring freefalls, shocks and vibrations.
The Toshiba NB200 is slated for release sometime in May 2009. It will set you back £319 if you live somewhere in Europe.
