Toshiba Unveils the New NB 520 Netbook in Singapore

Toshiba just launched its latest netbook in Singapore – the Toshiba NB 520.  While the said new netbook may seem your usual 10-inch netbook fare, it has one unique feature that sets it apart from the rest of the crows. The Toshiba NB520 netbook is equipped with Harman Kardon speakers which are placed into the netbook’s palm rest area. This will give you of course better sound that what your normal 10-inch netbook can give.

What’s good about these speakers is that you can use it separately even while the netbook is turned off. You can just connect your MP3 players to it and you’ll have speakers for your music instantly.

Other than these Harman Kardon speakers, everything else about the Toshiba NB320 are pretty much what most netbooks have. These include – a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 procesor, 1GB of RAM, 250GB HDD and Windows 7 Starter Edition.

The Toshiba NB520 will be initially available in Singapore for around $450. No words yet on its availability in the U.S.

Whata rubbish toshiba is. My notebook NB 520 I bought about 6 months ago. On the way home the screen collapsed in the plane, than 2 months later the battery collapsed. now I have pluged my external ecreen to runn the notebook without battery. Nor on a regular basis something is collaopsing, like typing, sound, ect, and each time I downkload the drivers needed, some shithead want me to register and pay. It seems that it is McAfee or norton who supplayed the protection free, than robbing the buyer 6 months later by deisabling some componets, and asking money to fix it. All fucking CROOKS !
