As you all know, Everex Cloudbook is delayed once again. Some users are unhappy with this decision. However, EEE users can still try some more hacks to make EEE look like a Cloudbook.
The difference between EEE and Cloudbook is the company’s tag. The configuration of both the PCs are alike, so there is no difficulty in transforming an EEE PC into a Everex Cloudbook.
Be prepared with some things before you actually do this.
1) Latest version of gOS(available at http://www.thinkgos.com).
2) Installation media(on which you are going to burn gOS )
3) ubuntu drivers(which can be obtained from http://code.google.com/p/eee-ubuntu-support/)
The installation of gOS is quite simple. If you have done this before, then this is going to be simple. The only thing which hinders the installation is the size of installation screen which is much larger than 7”. To overcome this, you can navigate the whole screen by pressing the “alt” key.
Install gOS on the system and additional drivers for some critical components. That’s it! You have an EEE PC transformed into Everex Cloudbook.
