Looking forward to your review – I’m considering buying one of these netbooks myself!

Keen to understand more details on the computer specs, layout, performance and any other technical elements as I need to make the right purchase so all my clients think I’m on top of the technology game when I’m out on-site!

Do you think it is wise to get a HP Mini 210 or should I get an AsusEE?

The HP Mini 210 has been getting some great reviews out there in the market.

One of my ‘pet little peeves’ with the Asus EeeePC is that the right shift key is not in it’s normal place, it’s placed further over (to the right of the arrows) and smaller.

Both are great though and it really comes down to what you need.

I ended up going with the HP 210 as I got it in a bundle and it came with Windows 7 which I wanted to trail as the business I manage the marketing for is recommending the upgrade. One thing I’ve noticed though is that I can’t tilt the screen all the way back due to the 6cell battery. Not sure if this is something on all notebooks, but can become an issue when sitting on a couch or the like.

I’ll be upgrading to the 2gb though sometime soon as I always like a little bit of speed (even though the machines are meant to be compact and ‘light’).

    That help ip?

the hp 210 is great, but the underside gets really really hot. i bought mine at best buy it came with 250 gb HD, 1 gb ram, 6 cell battery. i installed windows 7 ultimate. starter is a waste of time in my book. another thing upgrade the memory if you have the extra cash. but the drawback with this great netbook is the heat. the design is nice but not enough airflow. HD stays amazingly cool.
