Upgrading the Eee PC 1201N hard drive


If 250GB isn’t enough space for you on the 1201N netbook, you could always upgrade the hard drive size. DevilDragon360 has taken his netbook apart and replaced the standard 250GB HDD with a 320GB HDD. Of course, if that isn’t enough for you, you could even get a higher capacity HDD. The 320GB HDD is currently available on Amazon for $79.99. Once you’ve got your replacement hard drive, the netbook needs to be taken apart, which involves a lot of screws. It’s not one of the easiest mods to achieve but, can be very beneficial, as not only can you upgrade the storage space but, also the RPM. DevilDragon360 has posted a video on how you can also replace the hard drive, which you can view below.

    Thanks for the guide. I’m just about to change out have hdd. If only they came with a bigger drive to begin with it would save me having to reinstall all me programs.
