Verizon to Present Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 on March 1st
Verizon will release the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 this coming March 1st. This tablet boasts of a Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen with 16M colors, a resolution of 1280 x 800 and ~196 ppi pixel density. As the name indicates, it has a diagonal measurement of 7.7 inches. It also has multitouch technology and has TouchWiz UX UI.
At the heart of this device is a dual-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor running alongside an Exynos chipset and a Mali-400MP GPU. It also has 1 GB of RAM and a choice among 16, 32, and 64 GB of storage capacity, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Android 3.2 is its operating system. It also comes with various sensors, including an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
Among its other features are stereo speakers, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n as well as support for Wi-Fi Direct, dual-band, and Wi-Fi hotspot. There is an infrared port and a USB 2.0 port.
It also has a 3.15 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash as well as a 2 MP secondary camera. Geo-tagging and video are possible with these add-ons.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 from Verizon will have a price tag of $499.99 for a 2-year plan, or $699.99 without a plan.
