ViewSonic to Launch Windows 8 Tablet PCs in Q2 2012

Max Liu, product marketing director of ViewSonic Asia Pacific, says the company plans to launch Windows 8-based tablet PCs in the Taiwan market in the second quarter of 2012 at the earliest. As per Digitimes, Liu says the Windows 8 model will feature a 10-inch display, but offered up no other details.

Liu was also quick to note that the ViewPad 10 is the first model to support both Windows 7 and Android in the local market in Taiwan.

Liu also revealed that 2-3 new tablets will be launched in the second quarter, including those operating on Android 4.0.
