Vodafone Android Tablets for German Subscribers Launched

The tablet market is getting crowded by the minute and tablet makers are doing everything to be ahead of the competition. While countless wireless carriers offer Android tablets from third party device manufacturers for their 3G/4G plans, Vodafone undercuts the competition. Vodafone Germany would launch its own tablet and branding it as their own.
The Vodafone Smart Tab will come in 7 and 10 inch versions. November is the tentative dates for their release. Screen size is the only difference between the two tablets since their interals will share the same specs. The Vodafone tablets will have dual core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and a GB of RAM. It will also run in Android 3.2 . Both devices will have 16GB worth of storage further expanded with microSD card slots for expansion. They will also feature HSDPA radios for DL speeds up to 14.4 Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.76 Mbps. Both will have 1280 x 800 pixel displays and two cameras: 5MP rear and 2MP at the front. The dimensions of the 10 inch model is not yet released only the Smart Tab 7 is revealed: 0.44 inches thick and weighs 0.84 pounds. No word for pricing yet and it is not known if Vodafone will build these tablets in-house or have ODMs. Only Vodafone Germany is confirmed to offer these tablets.
