If you are still searching around for a good online store to purchase your Eee PC 900, look no further as our chart might help you find your unit. The online stores in the chart were culled from the press release issued by Asus USA as the ones who should start selling the Eee PC 900 by May 12. From the original nine stores, we’re down to only seven currently accepting orders for the Eee PC 900.
Interestingly, Amazon’s 12GB Linux model’s stock is now down to one unit left. Lucky is the person who will get that unit. But the catch is, Amazon is selling the said unit at a higher price of $585. But this is still lower than the regular priced 12GB and 20GB models sold in PCMall. I wonder why.
We also checked some brick and mortar stores listed by Asus USA and so far, only Central Computer in California has the Eee PC 900 in their inventory. The others are still listing the Eee PC 900 under the pre-order state.
Finally, we didn’t see any of the stores carrying the Black Eee PC 900. Although, one of the Asus Taiwan representatives assured me, that they will be releasing the black ones pretty soon. We strongly hope that they do.

Do any of the websites offer preorders on the black version?
Kathy, I haven’t seen any of the retailers offering the black version yet.
The black 900’s should be in the US this week if ASUS follows what they did in Asia, HK, the UK and Australia. Try these on-line stores starting May 29th:
Amazon.com
Buy.com
Newegg.com
You will be happy you didn’t get the pearl white model and waited :)
