What do we have here? French blogee site did a series of battery test on the Asus Eee PC 900 and the Eee PC 701. At first they used both the 4400mAh battery that Asus claimed to have mistakenly shipped with the Eee PC 900. When the Eee PC 900 and Eee PC 701 were compared side by side with each doing the same things, it was inevitable that the Eee PC 900’s performance failed miserably as it has a bigger screen than the 701. The same thing happens when they used the 5200mAh battery. Although, the Eee PC 900’s performance improved a little better, still it was no match with the performance of the Eee PC 701.

So, unless Asus ships a new version of the Eee PC 900 with Atom processor, I guess we might be looking at a not so good Eee PC 900 after all. But, then we could always remedy this by packing some extra batteries, right? But that is, if supply would keep on coming.

I’ve been reading a bunch of rumors about an updated version of the 900 getting released in June with an Atom processor. Is there any truth to this? It would probably increase the battery life…
