Hi James Fletcher,

Copy the contents of the Win 7 cd to a Memmory Stick, you can either then boot of the stick or boot into XP as normal and run setup.exe from the memmory stick… follow the process through, i did a clen install, works great!

hey folks… looks good been thinking about doing this myself this weekend.

However i don’t have a external cd drive, any suggestions on how to do it otherwise? Do i only need the drivers when booted up? ‘cos i can then plug in my ext hd and pull off there.

It was running at the same speed as XP, with some things quicker, but over the last day or two it has slowed down a bit, and more lag, but it’s still a great Operating System. I’m torn between returning to XP and waiting till the final release of Windows 7, or just keeping it. I havent had chance to try it on my desktop yet to see how it runs on there, far too much stuff to back up :s.

Ran faster for me, I tried it on my MSI Wind and once I got the drivers sorted out – easy – I was very happy with it – quicker and better than XP or Vista on the Wind. Great article!
