Following a successful launched in Japan, the Eee PC with a preloaded Windows XP OS was officially launched during the CeBIT 2008. This will further boosts the Eee PC’s consumer mass appeal as this will certainly entice non-tech savvy consumers who used to have seconds thoughts on buying the Eee PC because of its OS.

With Windows XP pre-installed on its system, the Eee PC becomes even more easy to use. The integration of Windows XP brings Microsoft Works to the Eee PC, giving users numerous applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database management and address books.

But most importantly, the Windows XP will also connect Eee PC users to Microsoft’s Windows Live services. Windows Live services give you access to Windows Live Mail, Live Messenger, Photo Gallery and Family safety. Those are useful web applications which blend well with the Eee PC’s portability features.
