Xandros Announces Moblin V2 Project for Atom-Based Netbooks
Posted in: Netbook, accessories, tags: moblin v2, xandrosTaking their share of the limelight at the ongoing Computex 2009 in Taipei is Xandros with their demonstration of the Moblin V2 OS made specifically for Intel Atom-based netbooks such as the Eee PC. Moblin V2 will allows further customization of Internet, media, social networking and graphics capabilities of the Eee PC.
Some notable enhancements that Moblin V2 would bring to the Eee PC include:
- enhanced graphics capabilities such as shadows, spin, bounce, and 3D animation
- touch-friendly applications
- rich graphical user interface
- integrated application store with “click and run” access to other softwares
