Zeki TB782B Android 4.0 Tablet for $140

The new Zeki TB782B is the newest addition to the growing number of alternatives to pricey Android tablets.

This tablet, which retails for only $139.99 from Sears, recently paid a visit to the FCC website. The device is packed with a 1 GHz Allwinner A10 processor, 8 GB of Flash storage, and a full gigabyte of RAM. The memory is still expandable through a built-in card slot. It moreover comes with Android 4.0.3 Operating System. Meanwhile, its display measures 7 inches diagonally and is a capacitive touchscreen with an 800 x 480-pixel resolution.

It carries a Wi-Fi adapter, a G-sensor, speakers, mini HDMI output, and a mini USB port. The full package ships with a mini USB to USB cable, free earbuds, and a power adapter. As with other budget tablets, this device is able to read a wide array of file types. There is also a front-facing camera for video chatting.

Unfortunately for fans of downloading apps from Google Play, this pre-rooted device doesn’t automatically come with the app store. However, this is easy enough to fix manually and should not be a cause for worry from users.

The downside on this tablet, though, is that it only offers 3 hours of battery life on its 2800mAh battery, even in ideal conditions.
