ZTE’s First US Tablet Coming to Sprint This February

Sprint has officially announced that the 7-inch ZTE Optik Honeycomb tablet will be available soon. The device will sell for only $99.99, with a two-year contract.
The Optik operates on 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, backed by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It also displays a 1280 x 800 resolution on its 7-inch screen. Additional features include a 5MP back camera, 2MP front camera and a 4,000 mAh battery on board.
Somewhat surprisingly, Optik doesn’t have WiMax or LTE support, but that’s likely due to the desire to cut costs on this budget tablet. Sprint hasn’t announced the accessories last week, but they’ll be available once the tablet launches.
The launch date for the ZTE Optik it still not clear, but once it becomes available, users will have to sign up for one of Sprint’s tablet data plans, which begin at $19.99 per month for 1GB, to get the on-contract price. Sprint’s also offering it contract-free for $349.99.
