So, Asus decided to stick to the Eee PC branding for its newest netbook release, the Eee PC S101. The Eee PC S101 will be available in three color design - Brown, Champagne or Graphite. It’s hinges are adorned with crystal, it sports a premium infusion finish, making the Eee PC S101 geared for the style conscious users.

The Eee PC S101 will be available in 3 versions; a 16GB SSD model with Windows XP. It will also comes pack with an additional 16GB SD card. This model will retail for around $699. The second version comes with a 32 GB SSD with Linux OS and will retail for around $699 as well. And lastly, the 64GB SSD model with Linux which will have a price tag of around $799.

Feature-wise the Eee PC S101 carries almost the same features as the other 10-inch Eee PC models. Except for the 20GB online storage that comes with every unit. Interestingly, the S101 only comes with the .3MP web camera. We’re wondering how come Asus didn’t put the 1.3MP web camera instead, if it aims to market this netbook as a higher model than all the rest of the Eee PC family?

I think that it’s design is amazing, but the functions are disappointing; the 0.3 webcam is just sad for a start. The next issue is the storage space. 16GB, 32GB, 64GB all are very small amounts. The online storage does help, and the SD card. But still we’re talking under 100GB. Far too small for me, at least.
I want for the design, but I’m not going to get it because of the pathetic 16GB, 32GB or 64GB storage, 1.6GHz and 0.3 webcam
