So, it looks like Asustek pushed through with the WiMAX version of the Eee PC 901 after all. This we learned from the ongoing WiMAX Expo, which even beat the much anticipated Computex event. Although official launched was still on Tuesday to co-incide with the availability of the Atom Processor, Asustek went ahead and previewed the new version of the Eee PC 901.

Here are the specs and details of the Eee PC 901:

  • 1.6 GHz Atom processor
  • 8.9-inch screen
  • 1GB memory
  • memory card slot
  • 20GB SSD (for Linux)
  • 12GB SSD (for Windows XP)
  • 6 hours batter life
